Who we are

We are “München Hilft Ukraine e.V.” – a non-profit association based in Munich. We help the refugees from Ukraine and people in Ukraine who suffer the consequences of war. We started volunteering activities on the 24.02.2022 – the first day of the war in Ukraine. We have grown from 0 to a community of 2300+ volunteers. Together, we have raised 0.5M€+ of donations and shipped more than 3000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which reached thousands of people. We also helped thousands of refugees in Munich.

We now focus on helping Ukrainian hospitals, orphanages, elderly houses, and other the most vulnerable populations in Ukraine. We collect donations in Germany and buy medicine, medical equipment, food, clothes, & other goods for people in Ukraine.

We automate the MHU processes with digital tools, increasing the efficiency of volunteers and saving time and managerial efforts. Therefore, our volunteers can deliver significant results by committing to a few weekly hours.

Please be aware that our charity currently dedicates almost 100% of the donations we get to cover the need of those suffering from the war in Ukraine. Therefore we can’t pay any salaries at this moment.

Automation Specialist (10-15%)

What challenges do we face?

We all volunteer in many different projects – to make our workflows as efficient and transparent as possible, we need your technical support.

For which issues is your support needed?

  • Design and implement automation processes using Monday.com (Work OS), Zapier.com, HubSpot.com (CRM), Facebook API, and PayPal API
  • Build, monitor and maintain automation processes to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with automation processes
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas where automation can improve efficiency and effectiveness

What skillset should you bring to the table?

  • Strong understanding of automation tools and platforms such as Monday.com, Zapier, HubSpot, Facebook API, and PayPal API
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud is a plus
  • Experience with process design and implementation
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PHP is a plus
  • Understanding of nonprofit and charity sectors is a plus.

B2B Fundraising Account Manager (10–15 %)

What challenges do we face?

In recent months, we have been able to attract many business partners – we now need support to maintain and strengthen these relationships and to develop and implement new fundraising strategies.

For which issues is your support needed?

  • Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to increase charitable contributions
  • Identify new fundraising opportunities and strategies
  • Collaborate with other members of the fundraising team to meet fundraising goals
  • Coordinate and attend online meetings with business partners
  • Ensure compliance with ethical fundraising standards

What skillset should you bring to the table?

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, preferably in German
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German (English is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in B2B sales or fundraising
  • Passion for non-profit work and making a positive impact in the community.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace and CRM software HubSpot.com
  • Knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies is a plus

Digital Marketing Manager - Facebook Ads (10–15 %)

What challenges do we face?

We want to achieve a higher operating range with our Facebook campaigns and need professional support in this area of expertise.

For which issues is your support needed?

  • Develop and implement Facebook advertising campaigns to promote the non-profit charity organization and its fundraising events
  • Create and manage a Facebook Ads
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance and make adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure campaigns align with the overall marketing strategy
  • Identify target audiences and create ad-targeting strategies to reach them

What skillset should you bring to the table?

  • Proven experience managing and optimizing Facebook advertising campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook ad targeting and optimization options
  • Analytical skills to track and measure campaign performance
  • Knowledge of Facebook pixel, Google Analytics, and other tracking tools
  • Ability to work independently and remotely and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM is a plus
  • Knowledge of graphic design is a plus
  • Experience creating visually compelling ad creatives is a plus

What challenges do we face?

We would like to expand and professionalize our activities in the area of Google Ads and are looking for a Digital Marketing Expert to actively support our marketing team.

For which issues is your support needed?

  • Develop and implement Google Ads campaigns
  • Create and optimize ad copy and landing pages
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize Ads performance
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure campaigns align with the overall marketing strategy
  • Manage and maintain Google Ads account, including budget and bids
  • Ensure compliance with Google Ads policies and regulations
  • Provide reports to management on campaign performance and ROI.

What skillset should you bring to the table?

  • Strong understanding of Google Ads and experience managing campaigns
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision-making
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization

We know what we are doing at MHU and for which purpose, but sometimes we lack the right words to communicate this to the wider public and therefore wish for professional support in doing so.

  • Writing and editing engaging and informative content for the organization’s website, social media platforms, and other communication channels in both German and English
  • Collaboration with the marketing and communications team to develop and implement content strat

What skillset should you bring to the table?

  • Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Familiarity with SEO and online content best practices
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and graphic design software is a plus

Sometimes pictures say more than a thousand words – that’s why we’re looking for support with the visual design of our digital presence in the form of branding, graphics, videos and much more.

  • Design and create graphics and visual assets for social media platforms and website
  • Ensure consistency in visual branding across all social media platforms and website
  • Create and edit video content for social media and website is a plus
  • Manage and organize the visual assets library
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative campaigns for social media and website

What skillset should you bring to the table?

  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Experience creating graphics and visual assets for social media platforms
